Jumping in where I am... again

I keep trying to get my wings... I keep failing it seems. No, that's not quite true, the flat looks MILES better than when we started this joined venture back in... February? and I guess that any given room is never more than 15 minutes away from company ready (with the exception of my kitchen, but that's usually because of dishes that need to be done... I want a dishwasher!!!!), so I should look at the progress rather than the draw-backs, but I'm still so far away from where I want to be.

The truth is that I hate vacuuming, and I hate mopping. All other chores are ok, but those two get me down every time.

*sigh*

Any good advice on that one?
