The big list just isn't working

The big list of things to do isn't working for me any more.  Things have gotten so out of control that the big list is too overwhelming.
Today I cleaned out the fridge.  I didn't *clean* the fridge; I just cleaned it out.  To do both jobs is a bridge too far.
