Menu - week 13.

I'm going to try to see if I can get into the habit of making a weekly menu and sticking to it. I'm not too good at this, but figured that if I write it down, I'll be more likely to feel like I have to stick to it ;) We'll see how it goes.

Sunday: Dinner at granddad's house.

Monday: Pork chops with cold potato salad and broccoli.

Tuesday: Lasagna

Wednesday: Tuna mousse (to be made Tuesday)

Thursday: Some new recipe I have yet to decide on... (I want to try more new recipes to see if I can renew my 'repetoir' a bit.)

Friday: Dinner at my parents house.

Saturday: Left-overs.

I'm baaaack....

... so I'd better get back on track here as well. Lars had NOT been doing my routines while I was away, so there was a bit of catching up to do ;)

Getting ready for my vacation

I'm in the very weird situation of knowing I'm going on vacation tomorrow, and not really feeling like it... I'm going to Austria to go skiing together with my coworkers. There are two main reasons why I don't really want to go: 1) Lars is not coming with me, and I know it'll be difficult to be without him. 2) Many of my coworkers like to drink - and like drinking to excess, so.... they may be more into after-skiing than skiing.

Ah well, I LOVE skiing, it'll be good to hang out with my coworkers while they're sober and I'll bring books and my embroidery so I can retire to my room when they get too rowdy. Besides, it's only from Thursday-Sunday. I'll manage...

  • Finish packing for my vacation.
  • Make sure Lars knows my flying times.
  • Do dishes.

I am trying.
I did get heaps of filing done today though. Entirely emptied a pile that was at least a foot high and so am ready to go on and attack the final pile.
That was a major victory.

*sigh*

I'm getting SO tired of being home alone. Praise God this is the last week for 3 months! Lars is away with work Monday and Tuesday, Wednesday he has a meeting and I'm going to see an opera with my parents and won't be home until 11-12pm (planned MONTHS ago or I would have cancelled), Thursday Lars will be home late because of work (don't know how late, but at least he'll be sleeping at home :) ) and finally Friday we have an evening for ourselves! I can't WAIT!

I'm trying not to complain too much (which is why I'm writing this here and not in my LJ. I just need to get it out somewhere), because it's not like there's much of a choice in the matter, but it gets difficult....

Fortunately, next week I get to see him every night! Yay! :-D
